Zwift race and a look into the future

Pop-up store on 30 and 31 January in Vaihingen

The move of Rad am Ring and Philipps Bike Team to Sonnenwirtleweg 9 in Vaihingen/Enz opens up many new perspectives for us. At the end of January, we cordially invite you to visit our new home and get a preview of our ideas for the future.

On both days, you can also win a starting place in a team of four at Rad am Ring in the Zwift Race. The qualifying races start on Friday at 5 p.m. and on Saturday at 12 noon. Sixteen starters can participate each day. Four riders compete against each other for approximately five minutes on Wahoo Kickr roller trainers and brand new AVONA Velum bikes. All information, including registration details, can be found down below.

Those who are less athletically ambitious can take a look at bike fitting (see next announcement), the Gonso 2026 collection or spin the wheel of fortune, where you can win small prizes from Dextro Energy, Rad am Ring and Philipps Bike Team. Our friends at Dextro will also be happy to provide you with bars, gels, gums and more.

If you are interested in one of our used road bikes, you are welcome to test ride them and purchase them directly on site (cash or card). You can also try out the new AVONA Velum bikes, but only outside of race times and only on the ‘roller’.

‘We want to develop a meeting place for our community,’ explains Rad am Ring and PBT boss Hanns-Martin Fraas. ‘That’s why the focus should be on informal exchanges between the community and our team.’ To make sure things don’t get too dry, coffee, soft drinks, water and beer will be available at cost price. For those feeling hungry, Lisa and Janina will be serving up sweet and tasty treats from the waffle iron. If there are no parking spaces available in front of the building, there is plenty of parking space in the surrounding area beyond the town exit.

From summer onwards, the shop in Vaihingen is expected to be open regularly. In the future, social rides, workshops and events are planned to make Sonnenwirtleweg a meeting place for road cycling, Rad am Ring and Philipps Bike Team enthusiasts.

Win a starting place for Rad am Ring in our Zwift Race

The prize is attractive, the path to it is manageable and is sure to be fun.

Date/Time:Platform/route:
30 January 2026 from 5 p.m.
31 January 2026 from 12 noon
The race will be held on Zwift. We will provide four accounts for this purpose.
The route is “Crit City”.

Duration/Mode:

Four drivers will always race directly against each other. The winner will advance to the next round or, in the case of the final race, be declared the winner. There will be four preliminary rounds and two semi-finals. We will take a break of around 10 minutes between races. This means that we expect the final to take place around 1 hour and 30 minutes after the start of the first race.

Bicycles/Rollers:

Riding takes place on Wahoo Kickr with fans. We use our brand new AVONA Velum in sizes 2 x M, S and L. The saddle height can be adjusted. If the participants in a race cannot agree on the size distribution, lots will be drawn. The bikes are equipped with “normal” pedals. So no clipless pedals!

The scores for the two days are independent of each other.

The following prizes will be awarded each day:
