Rad am Ring safe until 2023

Two years earlier than planned, the organizers of Rad am Ring and the Nürburgring have extended the contract for the cycling event through the Grüne Hölle (Green Hell). Thus, the future of the cycling weekend in the Eifel region, which was held for the first time in 2003, is secured until 2023. “Rad am Ring is traditionally an event with a special flair in our wide-ranging annual program. The participants – from hobby cyclists to professional athletes – can experience the fascination of the Nürburgring in a very special way,” says Nürburgring managing director Mirco Markfort. Hanns-Martin Fraas, head of Rad am Ring, is also pleased with the long-term commitment: “We have always enjoyed experimenting with new event elements or organizational forms in order to lead Rad am Ring dynamically into the future. This is often associated with investments and risks. The early extension of the contract gives us the necessary planning security and motivates to continue on this path.”
