Rad-Bundesliga returns to the Ring
The Rad-Bundesliga of the German Cycling Federation BDR in 2024 consists of eight races in total. One of them will again take place at Rad am Ring thanks to the sponsorship of Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz. The starting gun will go off on Sunday at 1 p.m., with the course leading the riders over the Nordschleife, where the peloton will cover its 22 kilometers and approximately 500 meters of elevation five times. If you’re thinking, “Wait a minute, isn’t the finish of the 24-hour races also scheduled for Sunday afternoon?”, rest assured: The latter are indeed our highlight of the day. We aim to promote and support licensed sports but will duly celebrate the 24-hour finishers and ensure that licensed riders and ultra-riders do not get in each other’s way. On the contrary: since the Rad-Bundesliga starts in the pit lane exit and the 24-hour races end on the Formula 1 finish line, spectators will have even more to watch.
