Dear participants and those interested in booking Rad am Ring,
due to the high demand for bookings for 2025, we literally have a ‘nice present’. However, the current booking freeze for the 24-hour race was not caused by the high demand in general, but in particular by the many requests to merge plots.

We are now up to date again. Above all, however, we have designed a process for the period from 21 October 9:00 a.m. that is as fair and service-oriented as possible and that is also within the current technical capabilities of our booking system.

Friday, 11 October to Monday, 21 October: what was done, what was not!

We have processed all emails and telephone enquiries until midnight on Friday, 11 October 2024. We have not processed and will not process all enquiries received after this time and up to 21 October 2024, 9:00 a.m. Mails that were sent during this period must be sent again after 21 October 2024, 9:00 a.m. This means that all bookings and change requests are valid or have been processed by midnight on Friday.

Now everything is ‘back to square one’ for everyone.

Montag, 21. Oktober, 9:00 Uhr – so geht’s weiter!

Booking procedure:
The booking system is open again from 9:00 am and bookings are possible online for all disciplines without restrictions (while stocks last).

Rebookings:
We process all change requests strictly after receipt of the e-mails. For the time being, we cannot accept any change requests by telephone. As the number of places/plots still available is limited, rebooking requests must be clear and therefore include the following information:

• Team name / participant name
• Starting number
• Plot booked
• Desired plot area (only the selection see below)
  • Priority 1
  • Priority 2
  • Priority 3
  • Priority 4

We have reserved plots in the plot areas listed below in order to be able to fulfil requests for merging teams/plotss. Rebookings can only be made in these areas. The name of the area listed under Prio 1 – x in your request email must clearly match the list below.

If the ‘Prio 1 area’ is already occupied at the time of processing, we will book to ‘Prio 2’ and so on. If we are unable to implement your preselection/prioritisation, we will inform you and leave the original booking in place. You can then cancel it free of charge if you are not happy. We can no longer fulfil requests for exact plot numbers.

Other change requests
For the time being, we can also only process all other change requests by e-mail, not by telephone. As mentioned above, we are working with several people to process all change requests strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. This is the only way we can remain reasonably fair.

If you have any other questions about the event, we are still available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the hotline hours from 9:00 to 12 noon.

Statement, Learnings, Outlook

We are always dissatisfied when we do not have our organisational processes one hundred percent under control. However, we did not expect a rush like this – a mistake, for which we apologise. However, the current solution has not disadvantaged anyone and there are still a few days to go until Rad am Ring 2025, so we consider the delay of a week to be forgivable.

However, it is also clear that we need a more efficient, digital version for 2026 so that we can continue to merge plots. Rad am Ring is a celebration of togetherness, ‘united teams’ have been part of it since 2003 – and we want to keep it that way. And we already have many ideas for solutions, let’s see what can be realised.

In case of doubt, a modified form of organisation will remain for 2025 if the plots are far apart: one plot for changing and team spirit, the others a little further away for sleeping.

In any case, we wish all participants a lot of fun on the Ring and as unclouded anticipation as possible from now on.
