Gravel race with a plus

German Championship 2026

Around 550 participants and strong survey results: the first edition of our 2025 Gravel Race was a success – and a door-opener. The German Gravel Championship will take place at the Nürburgring in 2026!

German Cycling (formerly Bund Deutscher Radfahrer) awarded next year’s championship to Rad am Ring. In cooperation with German Cycling, we are now preparing the official race announcement and will publish it in January. The German Championship will likely be open to riders from abroad, and the race distance is expected to be around 125 km for men and 100 km for women. We will see to it that participants who already booked but wish to switch to the championship entry will be able to do so without any issues.

Also back in the program, though without championship status, is the 50 km race. The 25 km loop will no longer be offered in 2026, however. Paul Voß, advisor and testimonial of the gravel premiere at Rad am Ring and current German Champion, will once again be at the start line to defend his title.

We’re planning small course adjustments, mainly concerning the climbs and descents to and from the Nordschleife. More information will follow in due time.
