MTB-Marathon: next try!
Actually, the MTB-Marathon was supposed to get an upgrade already this year. But this way, mountain bikers who don’t want to cycle for a full 24 hours can look forward to some attractive changes in 2021. The discipline for studded-tire enthusiasts with its three course lengths (25, 50 and 75 km) will move closer to the amateur races, i.e.: the MTB-Marathon will be first on the Rad am Ring starting schedule on Saturday. This means that the bikers are right in the middle of the race action … and yet ahead. We have also revised the course itself.
The off-road marathon riders will no longer turn off before the GP course, but ride over the start and finish stretch, alongside the paddock. That means 3.5 km more per lap, but also top race atmosphere. And last but not least, there will be a finish without a separate finish stretch and a worthy medal handover in the Bit beer area. Please go here for details.
